Source Internet - Community Broadband Gatineau (o-zone.ca/broadband)
RISC is the Community Champion under Industry Canada’s Rural Broadband Program to build a High Speed Internet Network in the Lower Gatineau Valley. Building on RISC’s expertise in community web development and wireless Internet, and with the help of the Quebec Learners’ Network and other community partners, a comprehensive business plan to fund this Network was submitted in June 2003.

Virtu-elles.org – Rural Outaouais Women’s Resource Network
This Francommunautés Virtuelles (Industry Canada) project works with regional agencies and groups to provide employability resources and learning opportunities for francophone women.

O-Zone: The Outaouais Youth Portal
This community-learning network links rural Youth Centres and CAP sites across the Outaouais, helping youth, front-line and supervisory staff and other stakeholders, to acquire necessary aptitudes and competencies through the creation and management of on-line and multimedia content.

Wakefield Rural Community Tourism Institute
RISC is the local community lead that has joined with groups from the region, the Community Economic Development and Technical Assistance Program (CEDTAP), and private community
e-Tourism stakeholders to host this community development showcase in November 2003.

C2C e-Learning and Workplace Skills Training Partnership
RISC works with this pan-Canadian initiative to increase community capacities - particularly to increase employability skills and small business expertise – via leading e-Learning tools.

Youth Managed Video Resource Sharing – Source Production
Rural community youth access to video equipment, training and related business opportunities.

Community Access Project Interns
RISC helped manage four stagiares and helping to mentor local youth in community and IT work, which set the stage for a 10 Intern HRDC YES Project from July 2003 to January 2004.
