Avent Launch Nov. 26

AVENT - the Artists Video Exchange Network - will be presented, with Radio Wakefield, at Cabaret Civil on November 26th at the Black Sheep Inn.

AVENT Introduction

AVENT - John Lauder’s brainchild - is a private network has done an initial test at its partner site, the Black Sheep Inn, with local favourite Sherena Ryder.

Arts Video Exchange Network (AVENT) Broadband video has arrived at a price and a quality, that enables new economic possibilities.Now, through changes in technology, this is an opportunity to define new forms of exchange. This is an independent approach. Venues will contributing funding to the network. The artists through their work are contributors. This is a venture, the purpose of which is to represent artists, and venues, for the benefit of both.

Watch for a big revamp of the Women’s Rural Resource Network – Virtu-elles – in the coming weeks.

The project now has a full-fledged Wemmestre again: Cynthia Rogocki-Wiles of QuikSkills. She will be joined by Barb Booth of CareerStation Wakefield and the CAP Intern. They will be at various networking events in the coming weeks, including an Artists’ on the Web event at Resort to Work later this month.
